Hi, so my problem are that my screen will randomly go black/power saving mode or just just go black and close itself. When it just go into power saving mode, i will need to switch input to hdmi and back to dp and it will be fine most of the time, but sometime the screen will start flicker and go black again or just straight disconnect(hearing the window disconnect sound) and then i wont be able to use any button on the front of the monitor so i need to hard reset with the power cord then unplug/plug back dp cable.

here the thing i did/try:

-reset monitor to factory default

-hard reset of monitor

-different dp port on video card

-new dp cable that is vesa certified

-dp to hdmi cable, this would work, and even now my second monitor is plug that way and no problem at all

-clean install of new driver

-try lower the refresh rate, this would help for a time but problem would come back, even at 60hz and lower

-chat with dell support, but the guy i chat with blame my system from the start and didnt seem to understand when i was telling him the test i did, the only good test in his eye was to test on another system but i dont have another system/video card with dp output, he even offer me to transfer me to the sale service.

and now here i am hoping u can can help me

DDM 1887 not holding Easy Arrange setting

Windows 10 x64 Pro on a Surface Pro 3 with Microsoft Dock

Windows 10 x64 Pro on a Lenovo Thinkpad T420

Windows 7 x32 Enterprise on a Lenovo Thinkpad T420

Fourth machine is a Mac, so not relevant

Video goes through a StarTech 4-port DP/USB KVM

Dell U3415W monitor

After updating to 1800+, when I switch away from the SP3 and switch back, DDM has lost its Easy Arrange setting. The other machines do not have this problem. This occurs on the SP3 under the following conditions:

-- I shut off the monitor and turn it back on

-- I reboot it, leaving the monitor on the whole time

-- I log out of my session and log back in, leaving the monitor on the whole time

-- I undock the SP3 and dock it back in

-- I remove the SP3 from the dock and directly connect it to the KVM, then do any of the first 3

-- I remove the SP3 from the dock and directly connect it to the monitor, then do any of the first 3

This functionality worked fine on the 1600+ version of DDM.

U2414H display issue

Hello,

My U2414H has a display issue when producing dark colors.

The edges get illuminated more than the rest of the screen.

Below is a photo displaying black

Is this normal?

U2415 - Great monitor -- No input auto-detect??

Just bought several U2415 monitors -- one of the few 16:10 aspect ratio monitors.  Great colour, and resolution support.  I'm baffled though because there is no auto-detect function to switch inputs from multiple sources?

Am I wrong about this?   Older models had auto-detect as a menu option -- but I don't believe this is even an option on this latest/greatest monitor?

Any chance of a firmware fix for this?  (I suspect this has to do with low-energy compliance standards...)

I am looking for the specifications for a model E2414Ht. I see lots of information for the E2414Hr model, but a lack of specifications on the internet for the E2414Ht.

I particularly am interested in determining the native resolution for the E2414Ht and the EDID resolutions it can handle. Are they the same as the E2414Hr model?

Surface Book + Dock driving UP2715K

Trying to get the Surface Book with Performance Base connected to the Dock to drive the Dell 5K beast. 

It connects. It boots up at 3k. 5k shows up as a detected resolution, which should be a good sign, but when you select it, after a blank screen it reverts and says there was an error.

Anyone know how to make it work?

U3415W monitor will not go full screen

I have a new monitor and a new XPS 13 laptop with Intel HD Graphics 620 using an HDMI connection.  I cannot get the monitor to use the full screen.  It is essentially acting as if it is a 27 inch monitor so I have large black borders to both sides of the screen.  I have tried every combination of the Intel Graphics Control Panel along with the monitor menu and nothing works.

What settings do I need to change to utilize the full screen?

My Pc Runs Fine AF When I Work Or Watch Movies But When I Try To Play A Game After 5 mins Boom Black With A message "Power Saving Mode"

 

I Have Change My Power Options To No Shut Down / Display

Checked My Cables Properly

Game Runs In Background though monitor gives me this message as i can hear sound of gameplay

U2717D, A02 to A03 revision changes

Hello,

I recently got myself 2 U2727D for a dual display setup. Due to damaged packaging and dead pixels I got a replacement for one of them. For some reason only the display itself has been replaced and I even got the old, and therefore useless, factory report. However, the replacement has been Revision A03, whereas the previous one has been A02. Both of them side-by-side looked like two completely different panels/ models. It was hard to work with them, as colours and especially the difference in colour temperature looked terrible. It really made me question the factory calibration, so I borrowed a friend's Spyder 4. The A02 was 6900K and gamma 2.5, whereas the A03 was 6000K and gamma 2.2. Other metrics also looked very different from each other.

What is the difference between A02 and A03? Did the calibration process change?

What colour temperature, gamma,... are the displays calibrated on?

Are Revision A02 and A03 even using the same panel?

P2715Q | Entering Power Save Mode

Okay so this is problem that I've been having ever since I bought this monitor last year. I never asked for help because it eventually kinda fixed on its own (probably updates?) but anyway. I recently reset my computer to factory settings and oh boy, the monitor issue is back!

Dell XPS 13 (9350) is hooked up to the Dell TB15 dock via USB-C and from the dock, a DP cable is hooked up to the Dell P2715Q (REV A03).

I have downloaded all the drivers for my laptop, for my dock, and for the monitor itself.

Everytime I plug the USB-C in to my laptop, the monitor turns on from stand-by and extends my desktop. But after X sec/mins, it turns off and displays  "Entering Power Save Mode". In order to wake it up, I just press any of the button on the monitor and turns back on. After a few sec/mins again, it turns back off.

Please help and advise. This is driving me nuts already.

Edit: To troubleshoot this, besides installing latest updates, I tried changing the DP cable for another one that I had, then for a DP to mDP cable, I even changed the dock itself for another TB15 that I have. Nada.

Dell S2716dg, computer does not detect (goes into safe mode immediately)

I need some help, I think the error is not from the monitor but from my computer.

-Connected by DP unto my GTX 970

-Windows 10

-I have my main monitor (ASUS vg248qe) still connected by Dvi in my GTX970

When I start my computer, my asus start normally. The dell goes into safe mode right away. In the Nvidia control panel, it only detects the asus.

I tried all 3 dp port, only one seems to work. (the other two doesn't even show the safe mode message)

I tried plugging the dp port the other way around.

I tried unplugging the power cord off and the on.

I tried unplugging my Asus completely.

I tried changing my power option to high performance.

I disabled the fast boot option in my BIOS.

I updated my graphic cards and the nvidia geforce experience.

I plugged the HDMI into a laptop, and switch the display to hdmi then it worked! I was able to disable the deep sleep mode, and did a factory reset.

But when I use the DP into the GTx970, it still goes into safe mode. My theory is that somehow, the computer does not detect the monitor and it goes to sleep right away.

Thank you all for your time, I am looking forward so much to try 1440 and G-Sync!

u3417w keeps returning to grid

I do not use the Dell Display Manager option to 'grid' the monitor. When I select the 'x' option in the Dell Display Manager, after a while the monitor keeps defaulting back to a 2x2 grid, so whenever I drag a window it will automatically be resized to the grid. How do I disable that permanently?

UP2715, X-Rite I1 Display pro and DCCS problems

Hi I just bought the X-Rite I1 display pro and want to use The Dell Display Color Correction Solution but it keeps crashing on the "Start measurment" screen. It seems that the app cant connect to the screen. The IProfiler app from X-rite itself however works fine...

What can I do to make DCCS working? I want to use DCCS because Iprofiler keeps resetting my screen to another colorspace than Cal1 or AdobeRGB.

I also encouter the next problem. After reboot only half of my screen is colorcorrected. It's connected by a dual Displayport cable and a NVIDIA Titan X.

What cables do I need

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 3668 with a Intel HD Graphics 630 card in it.  A friend of mine gave me a Dell 4G monitor ( p2715qt) but none of the cables he gave me will plug into my system.

Any suggestions on what cables are needed to connect?  Thanks.

monitor firmware M3B101 

Input HDMI2  USB2

Monitor is displaying picture fine when connected to a Latitude E5450 running Windows 7 via HDMI .

However, when I connect the supplied USB cable between the monitor and any of the computer's USB ports, I get USB2734 Failed and USB5734 Failed in the Driver Software Installation window "Device driver software was not successfully installed".    

There are no other external USB devices plugged into the laptop other than the monitor.  There are no USB devices plugged into the monitor.   I installed both of the software packages on the Drivers and downloads page.  Dell_u3417w-monitor_a00-00_drvr_mtvmn.exe and ddmsetup1759.exe

I was able to successfully get the USB connection to install to my Dell XPS running Windows 10.

Dell s2716dgr screen constantly flickers at any refresh rate above 85hz

I bought a s2716dgr a couple of months ago and it has worked fine until now. If I change the refresh rate to 144hz or anything above 85 hz the screen flickers on and off and is unusable. I tried updating my nvidia drivers and a factory reset on the monitor but that didn't work. I have a gtx 1080 and I tried 3 different display port cables but am still having the same problem. serial number is CN-0JCVN0-74261-6CL-0E6Q REV A04

U2414H - Vertical Lines running through the screen

So I turned my computer on this morning and upon start up I noticed my screen had  2 vertical lines running through it. (Pink and Yellow). I didnt think much of it. Until about 5 minutes later it turned into this. (see pic)

I tried contacting tech support but neither my Service Tag or Product ID seems to match anything according to the website. 

Any ideas?. (This was bought from Dell NZ around Feb 2017).
