U2711 Locked on a different input

I recently got a U2711 from my aunt along with a DVI cable. I turned on the monitor only to find the mode is locked onto DisplayPort option. I have tried pressing the menu button but even when held for 60 seconds the no cable popup keeps interrupting the reset. I have tried the hard reset numerous times along with looking at support for an hour or so to no avail. It is hooked up to a new computer that has no operating system, but does not work on my laptop with an HDMI cord. 

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

P2715Q not working with MacOS 10.12.5 w/ MacBook Pro w/ touchbar

Since I upgraded to 10.12.5, I'm having trouble making P2715Q work with the latest MBP (touchbar). It used to work via displayport using Dell's hub. Now when I plug in the monitor, ~ 70 - 80% of the time the monitor is simply blank (black) while the MBP's display flickers cycling through different modes. The rest of the time it shows something, it renders in a low res (1900x1200). In my dozens of tries it worked correctly only once.

I tried restarting the mac, power cycling the monitor, resetting the NVRAM on the mac, and so on, but nothing seems to fix it.

I took a look at the console log, and I see messages like "invalid display". Does anyone else see it? Any known workaround?

Dell S2716DG - Ghosting/trailing while scrolling in websites

I've owned this monitor for about 2 months. It is a A04 revision and it suffers from ghosting trailing while scrolling in websites. I know this was a common issue with the prior revisions.

Does the A04 revision still has this issue? Do i have to return the monitor for a replacement?

XPS Laptop, D3100 Dock, Daisychain U2417H to U2410

Hello,

I have an XPS laptop with a GeoForce GTX 1050 card on version 373.06.  I am connecting my laptop to a D3100 docking station.  From the docking station I've connected via Displayport to a new U2417H. I then daisy chained the U2417 to an older U2410 with displayport. The monitors are working, but appear as 1 in Windows 10 and so they are only behaving as cloned displays. I would like to extend so that I have both monitors for use.  I can't figure out what I need to do to enable the extend so that the monitors are recognized separtely.

U2515H Yellow Tint

I bought a Dell U2515H last week and on getting it set up properly I discovered that the left hand side of the screen has a yellow/warmer tint to it and the right hand side has a blue/colder tint, it is noticeable when viewing whites or pale colours. Is this normal or do I have a defective display?

Dell P2414H - vertical lines

Good afternoon,
Today i noticed 2 vertical lines on my screen so I ran the diagnosis without any cable attached besides the power cable and the lines still showed up, so I think the problem comes from the monitor, as shown in below pictures. I would like to know how I should proceed with this problem.

Details:
- Serial: CN-036WJX-74261-58P-0CNB with A06
- Attatched to a personal desktop, with Asus Gtx970, using Display Port cable.
- Using High Performance.
- Resolution: 1920x1080, 60Hz.
-Monitor bought from a reseller.

Is U2715H compatible with MacBook Pro early 2017? Power Save Mode

Hello,

Thanks for all the previously answered questions, Chris.

However, it is still unclear to me whether Dell Monitor U2715H is compatible with MacBook Pro. Before I purchased, I called Dell to confirm, but now all I get is Power Save Mode. I have verified the Input Sources per the directions, as well as other combinations. I have also purchased dongles so that there are no leaves left unturned. I would really appreciate additional help trying to figure this out. I find it hard to believe that returning it or exchanging is the right option since both computer and monitor are latest versions and both brand new.

Dell UP2516D, having trouble to get the max resolution

Hello,

I am having trouble to get the max resolution (2560x1440) of my new Dell UP2516D Monitor.

My graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 7660D (embedded on a A10-5800K APU Processor) supporting up to 2560x1600 resolution, and my motherboard is ASUS A78M-A, which according to its specs:

- Supports HDMI with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz*1
- Supports DVI with max. resolution 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz
- Supports RGB with max. resolution 1920 x 1600 @ 60 Hz

*1: Only FM2+ APU can support up to 4096 x 2160 resolution display via HDMI port.

Operating System: Windows 7, 64-bit

Firstly, I connected my UP2516D to my PC using an HDMI 1.4 cable without updating the graphics card drivers. Max resolution I could get was 2048x1080 and recommended 1920x1080. After updating the drivers, recommended resolution was upgraded to 2048x1080 but max resolution stayed the same (2048x1080).

I then connected my Dell UP2516D to my motherboard's DVI-D port using the HDMI 1.4 cable with a DVI-D Dual Link adaptor. Again the max resolution I could get was 2048x1080.

Is there anything else I could do (other than buying a new graphics card with Display Port)?

Hi,

Just a simple question regarding the availability of the UP3017Q.

I noticed on your product page, that most monitors ship next day.

In fact the UP3017Q is the only one which is stated as "Ships in 1-2 weeks".

What does that mean? - Are the individual monitors ordered from the factory?

Soundbar (AX510) - Alternatives to Daisy Chain

I recently bought a Dell Stereo Soundbar (AX510) to be used with Dell Precision Tower 3420 XCTO BASE and two (2) Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitors (U2412M). I am considering buying another soundbar to be mounted to the second monitor, but there is not a second speaker jack in the T3420.

From a previous forum thread found, I understand that "each SoundBar will have its unique listing under Sound Playback. The Owner's Manual makes no reference to being able to daisy chain them together."

Is there a remedy if daisy chaining does not work between the Soundbars (as you have mentioned)?

Should I have purchased a different tower? Is there a system that comes with two speaker outputs?

How can the 2 Dell monitors (model # 1908FPc/1908FPt both be cable connected to an Inspiron 3847 desktop ?

(1) is a "magic cable" needed between only the 2 monitors ?

OR

(2) is a separate cable (VGA and USB or 2 USB) used between the system unit and the monitor ?

I didnt use my computer for a few weeks. today i strated my computer and tryed to turn on the monitor but it doesnt do anything. No light on the powerbutton. the monitor is only a few years old.

SP2309W Webcam crashes my PC after Windows 10 Creator Update

It seems the Windows 10 Creator Update is even more fussy about drivers than previous versions, as I eventually discovered this version crashes when connected to the SP2309W built in webcam.  I had to disconnect the monitor’s USB hub to complete the upgrade, as it also connects the webcam. After the upgrade if I now plug the USB hub into a USB port, it instantly crashes my PC with the blue screen message described below.  

Microsoft’s error messages are not helpful. Originally all I saw was a blue screen message telling me that the automatic upgrade had failed due to a System Service Exception and ks.sys had failed! Even when I tried using a USB upgrade stick, this upgrade still crashed. However this method did give me slightly more error info as to why the upgrade failed. “The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSREP operation” with the error code 0xC1900101 – 0x300018. This lead me to this link. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/deployment/upgrade/resolve-windows-10-upgrade-errors#extend-codes to translate but even that did not tell me the exact cause. Ultimately finding other clues from Googling other sites coupled with my diagnostic skills found that the webcam/ USB hub was the cause of the crash.

As the SP2309W monitor is still working OK, does anyone know how I can still keep using its webcam and USB hub? Any chance that Dell might relent and offer a driver update?

P2415Q warming up like good old CRT

After about 1 year of use one very interesting effect happens every time I turn the monitor on:

1. At first the screen looks light gray instead of black with very deformed colors

2. After a minute, corners and edges starts to become black a they should be

3. The black moves from the sides to the center until after 10-15 minutes the entire monitor looks normal

This happens both in diagnostic mode and when HDMI cable is connected. 

What it could be? Something fixable?

Also I can't find a Service Tag which looks like to be a key to getting to contact support. S/N is CN-OGTTPW-74261-58H-OF7L.

U2515H usb hub not working when connected to WD15

I have the USB cable plugged into my WD15 hub (I've tried all ports on my computer). None of my peripherals work when they are plugged into the monitor's USB pass-through hub.

They do work when they are plugged into my computer directly (or the WD15). 

Not sure what else I can try other than a new USB cable, but this thing is like two months old so I doubt it would be that. 

Also, no power is coming from the ports. If, for example, I plug in my phone charger, the phone doesn't charge through the port.

I'm using an XPS 13, WD15 and U2515H.

White light on the border / edges of the monitor Dell E2016 H

I recently bought Dell E2106 H monitor . I have noticed that there is a white light on the borders / periphery / edges of 2-3cm wide of the monitor screen i.e. on all the four sides. It became visible / prominent on black/darkish background.Please confirm whether it is normal or otherwiseThanks and best regards

Dell S2716DG has vertical yellow lines on right half of screen visible with brighter gray colors

I just discovered some vertical yellow-ish looking lines. the defect is literally only on the right half the of screen and it looks like its stops perfectly in the middle straight down the screen. the lines only show with brighter grayish looking colors. like clouds. I cant see them at all with a darker wallpaper. when I got this monitor I used a darker wallpaper so I may have had this problem from the very beginning. I just reinstalled windows cause I built a new pc so I changed wallpapers. thats why I'm noticing the problem now. its 6 months old. I got it on dell outlet so it only had a 90 day warranty :(.  I still paid a lot of money for this monitor.

I tried using a hdmi cable instead of display port.  I also tried using my PCs onboard video instead of my video card.  made no difference.

U2717D backlight bleed

Hello,

I have just ordered a U2717D and noticed it has several issues.

Top left and right corners are lit yellow. Right corner lit more.

Bottom corners are lit blue.

I take photos with black background and with lighting and without lighting in room. Photos show that what I see real.

Its normal or it has defect?
