I just reinstalled ubuntu on my dell xps 13 which I have connected to my dell u3417w monitor. The sound used to work fine on the monitor before I reinstalled the OS but now I'm getting a message every time I start up the monitor. It says:
Unsupported Audio Format - Use Pulse Audio Code Manipulation (PCM) If Available
Any help?
I have two UP2516D monitors, both were working find. However just today, a few minutes after I turn on the computers both monitors came on normal, but then one of the monitos when black and keep saying no HDMI/MHL1 signal from your device. The problem is that once this happen I am not able to use the other monitor either. I have to turn of the computer unplug the monitors cables and leave just one connected so I can use my PC. I tried connecting both monitors but had the same lock, it comes on for a few minutes and them goes off again. One monitor is connected direct to my PC and the other is connected via the DisplayLink adapter. I tried changing the cables and even using different type of cables but no luck. Not sure what's going on. How can I solve the issue and be able to use both of my monitors at the same time. I
I have version 1.58 of DCCS which I use to calibrate my U2413 monitor. I see that version 1.6 is now available. Does anyone know what changes were made in the new version. I am concerned about updating and adding conflicts with my monitor.

everytime i boot windows 10, DDM switches back to default configuration (split horizontal), and don't use my custom preset.
1. How i can force DDM to use my last used preset?
2. Also, it would be nice to allow to create more than one custom preset.
The last update to Dell Display Manager (ddmsetup1887.exe) breaks the RestoreWindowLayout. All windows apper stacked upon each other in the left top corner of my main monitor sized to 640*480 afer my computer wakes up from sleep.
Older versions of DDM could restore the original Window positioons and sizes when the registry key
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EnTech\DDM\RestoreWindowLayout was set to (DWORD) 1.
Is there a solution to this problem? The registy key is still in place, but the feature does not work anymore.

We are using a s2240T Touchscreen monitor with Windows 10 system. The system is to be used as a control screen with buttons. Some of the buttons are made to activate when touched, but go off when released. The buttons work fine with the mouse. The touchscreen does not activate the buttons when the screen it touched, but it activate when you stop touching the screen for a moment. The drivers that came with the monitor were installed, but there does not appear to be any setting that changes the operation of the touchscreen for this.
I have the Dell UP3017Q OLED monitor.
I've noticed that there are a handful of areas on the screen, primarily in a somewhat vertical line along the center of the screen, but in somewhat concentrated and clustered areas, where pixels/subpixels seem to rapidly turn on and off.
I at first thought this was an artifact of a faulty cable or perhaps PC, but I have tried three PCs using both the HDMI and USB-C cables, and the monitor still exhibits the same behavior. I've tried adjusting settings and performing a factory reset, but nothing seems to help. Changing some settings like Color Space or Brightness can slightly alter where some of the areas are or the color of the flashing pixels, but the problem still remains.
I am attaching a YouTube link to a video of the problem. You'll want to watch fullscreen at the 1080p or 4K quality, as the compression of the lower settings obscures the problem. The blinking white pixels near the center of the video (above the white line) are the problem I am referring to.
This does not seem like normal behavior. Any assistance would be appreciated.

This old monitor is still going strong but I built a new win10 machine and put it on it and there's a few little funnies happening and I wonder if I can get better drivers for it maybe?
I can't find any myself, searching the web or Dell's site. They seem to have wiped it off their list of supported monitors.
What's it doing? Bit hard to say. Can't drag windows around the screen as I should be able to. It went into basic VGA graphics mode there for a while. Suddenly shut a window dpwm to mnimised in the tray.
They might not be monitor driver problems. well that'd be good know. meanwhile....

I just bought the Dell - P2416D for second screen with my macbook retina and the color between the two screen are very diffrent.
I try to manually calibrate but the result are far from perfect !
I read somewhere I need to put the screen in rgb and select the adobe rgb profile, but when I put the screen in rgb mode everything comes green.
is there a tool to correctly calibrate, or update something...!?

I just returned a new U2515H 2k monitor, the power button was very hard to turn on or off my question is does the Dell S2417DG use the same touch power button or a regular type button.

I bought 4 k monitor P2715Q.
It took a month to get this monitor at my home.
However, it was defective . It had one black dot on the top of the screen and one bright pixel on the left side of the screen. So I asked for an exchange and they sent new one to replace it.
It also took about two weeks to get the other one.
Today I got a replacement; however, the second one has backlight bleed !!!!!! I am so upset about it.
What should I do for this??? Should I just use it or should I call Dell for an exchange again.?.. lol...
I really don't want to wait long time again. Is backlight bleed normal for this model?
One thing I am sure about is that the first one did not have any backlight bleeds, but second one has bleeds at the top corners.
I'm trying to figure out what materials the monitor stand on a p2217h are fabricated from.
I have a 2015 Macbook Pro connected to my recent Dell P2715Q monitor with DisplayPort connection. The monitor displays well during normal operation but when I sleep my notebook and wake it later, I come back and my notebook is frozen. After several calls and a visit to the Apple Store they were unable to find an issue with my computer. We tested with a Apple Display in their store and there was no issue. Is there a firmware update for the monitor? I'm fairly certain the issue is the Dell causing my notebook to freeze. Help! So frustrating!

I've just bought a Dell U2412 monitor but I can't get it to display at 1920x1200 resolution. I'm running Windows 10 on a Vostro 3250 PC and if I go to display properties the highest resolution possible is 1920x1080. If I open the Intel Graphic HD control panel it also doesn't offer 1920x1200 resolution. Any help would be appreciated

Hey guys, I would like to mount my Monitor on the wall right behind my little desk so that I can also use the desk for my laptop when needed, which is all the time, switching back and forth. I really need an inexpensive mount that will allow me to save space on the desk, which means, it should sit as flush as possible but at the same time need a little Tilting ability.
Also, the most important would be for it to slide up enough for me. What I like to do is work on Laptops etc. and have my monitor above so that I can still see it, but when not working on another pc, would like it to slide down, to a normal working space. I looked on this site and many others, but hoping there is more experienced here that will advise me.

It has the ability to slide up and down and is a very nice handmedown...for me at least. Really like the Dell Monitors, and pc's, and always suggest to my customers to buy them! It also looks to be very compatible to a Wall Mount because it has the little button on back that detaches it from the Stand.

I have a TV set with a USB2 port. Can I connect my monitor's USB downstream port to a TV set USB connector to use the latter as a second monitor?

My dell p2214h has a severe pink tint on the screen, and all colors displayed looked dull when compared to other monitors. Its a lot dimmer than other p2214h monitors I've used. I have tried resetting the monitor and the problem still persists. I would appreciate any suggestions on how I can increase the brightness and reduce the pink tint.

I've just bought a Dell U2717D monitor (to replace my old 24inch Dell) but I can't get it to work with my Mac Pro (Mid2010) 6-core Intel Xeon (OS 10.9.5) with its original ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB graphics card.
When I connect the monitor via DP/miniDP it will not detect the Mac at all, it will say 'no dp signal detected' and go into standby mode soon after. However when I hook it up to my MacBook Air or my iMac it works fine instantly, so I know it's not the cable. I've also tried connecting the U2717D to the Mac Pro via DVI-DP cable but still no luck...
I'm posting this here to see if anyone had the same issue or if you've seen a similar problem before. I wonder if upgrading the Mac OS to Sierra would fix this (haven't tried it yet as I my Apogee Duet audio interface will not work anymore then) or if the Radeon HD 5770 is simply too old for the new monitor...
