The UP3017Q has an adhesive attached film on the face. Is this for temporary protection or does it have an anti glare function. It can be peeled off like a protective film, but there is no mention of it in the manual. I hate to peel it off in case it is an AR component.

Which monitor to get for coding ? Dell P2416D or U2412M or Samsung CF390 Curved
I need a monitor for coding mostly, for web development. The main thing I want is protecting my eyes, less eye "pain". I want to watch the monitor as long as possible.
Never tried curved, and samsung is know for good quality. Although they say Dell is for developers.

S2716DG Monitor Stuck in Burn In Mode?
Hi. Whenever my pc is asleep/off/disconnected, my monitor goes into burn in mode where the whole screen alternates between solid colors. It works fine otherwise, although recently I've been getting occasional "flickering" where I see a solid color for a split second. When it's doing this I can only access the factory menu.
I've tried doing a factory reset, disabling deep sleep mode, and turning "burn in pattern" off in the factory menu but none of that has helped. I think I saw another thread that was similar to this a while ago where they just suggested RMA. Anything else I could try? Thanks.

U2414H sRGB mode dithering and crushed blacks

Here's the sRGB mode crushing blacks and making every shade below 4 impossible to see

How? Why? What are my options? I should still have a couple of months of warranty left (bought in November 2014), is it considered a defect and is replaceable? Or would I be better off getting my hand on a colorimeter and doing it manually?

Service Tag or Express SVC code doesn't work, can't contact Dell
As the title says, I can't contact dell support because my service tag or express code doesn't work. I have a P2415Q in Japan. It has some very visible bright pixels. I tried going through both the US and Japanese dell sites. No luck.

Dell u2413 + DCSS v1.5.3 + Win10
I'm trying to hardware calibrate my U2413 (LUT 1). In the past this has been a very simple process, however I'm now getting the following error message right at the end of the process:
"Failed to apply video LUTs. This may be due to error during measurements. Please start over."
I've no idea what has changed and would be very grateful if anyone has any advice on how to overcome this error?

P2317H -- viewing angles
Just bought new P2317H monitor, and disappointed with bad viewing angles. With 45 degree it lost about half of brightness, which make it similar for cheap TN monitor. See shadow at bottom part of screen.
Is it defect, or this is expected? Should I replace monitor?

Can I stream video clips from a USB stick with no PC attached? U2412M
I suspect the answer is no but....
I have two U2412M Monitors, each with a couple of USB ports on the side which the manual decscribes as "downstream".
My interest is in using these monitors to stream video clips and images from a USB stick with no PC attached - I have seen this done on other monitors of different types.
Is this possible on the U2412M monitors and if so how?

The on Dell logo on my S2417DG is peeling off
I have the Dell S2417DG. On the bottom front of the monitor there is a plastic strip that the "DELL" letters are attached to. It is apparently attached with nothing more than adhesive, because it is beginning to peel off of the monitor from the rightmost side. I noticed it starting to peel off a few months ago, and every time it comes off I gently apply pressure it stick it back on, but it usually comes back off after a few days.
Unfortunately I do not have any images at the time, but I can certainly upload one when it inevitably happens again.
How should I get this issue fixed?

Dell U2515H randomly blacks out
Hi,
I'm using a Dell U2515H monitor connected via HDMI to a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 (7268 model). The display randomly blacks out for about 2-3 seconds, and it is absolutely infuriating. When I first purchased the monitor I had issues with bad backlight coverage and the monitor was replaced twice, making this monitor the third monitor, and all three monitors have had this same blacking out issue.
I am using a relatively new HDMI cable, bought when I purchased the laptop approximately 12 months ago. I have tried changing HDMI cables with no result. A few days ago I purchased a USB-C > HDMI adapter hoping that it might be a problem with the laptop's HDMI output, but that has not fixed the problem.
I am unable to use any other connection method as the laptop only has USB, USB-C, and HDMI outputs.
Dell has sent a service technician to replace the motherboard in the laptop, the problem still persists.
I regularly (3-4 times a week) connect this laptop to my TV via HDMI and watch 2+ hours of video at a time and the TV has NEVER blacked out.
I am currently testing the monitor on an older Dell Inspiron 3452 laptop. It has not blacked out yet, but it has only been connected for about an hour so that's not enough time to be sure yet. I'll run it on this laptop for most of tonight and provide an update later.
I tested another monitor on the Inspiron 13 7000 laptop for two days and did not have any issue with blacking out.
Some help with this would be greatly appreciated as this issue renders a $700 monitor basically unusable.

S2417DG, Display port not showing up/no response
I've tried unplugging everything, and it still does not work. My pc only shows up on HDMI. I've updated drivers on my Gigabyte GTX 1080 and through the monitor's website. This is really frustrating because I have no idea what to do. I'm pretty sure all my drivers are up to date.

Is there anything special I need to do or anything extra I need to buy to hook up a new monitor to an old 2002 DELL computer? I was reading online about new monitors being HD and I'm wondering if that would be a problem. I haven't bought the monitor yet but I'm looking at this HP:

Dell S2415h monitor cable incompatible
I recently purchased a Dell S2415h monitor. The cable that came with the monitor to connect to the PC is I think an HDMI cable. However I am unable to find any port on my Dell XPS 420 PC that this cable fits. My PC is about 8 yrs old. Is there any other cable with a different connector that would fit and work?

U2715H monitor, PR03X docking station, DisplayPort won't wake from sleep
Just purchased a new U2715H monitor from Amazon to hook up to a Latitude E7450 in a PR03X docking station via the DisplayPort to mDP cable.
Initial connection worked fine, was able to set the resolution without issue.
Took the computer off the docking station to work remote, came back and put it back on and the monitor refuses to wake up (goes into power saving mode). Tried hitting Ctrl-Alt-Delete, or Win-L from both the laptop keyboard and the USB keyboard to no avail.
When I unplug the mDP cable from the monitor, the laptop screen will come back on, and when I plug it back in, the laptop screen goes blank, but the monitor does not wake up.
Only way to get it to work is to completely unplug the power and cable from both sides, and it will come back on.
HDMI works fine, but the docking station has no HDMI port, so you have to plug and unplug it every time.
Is there no reliable way to use this monitor with a docking station's DisplayPort and be able to dock and undock it?

2X P2418HT Docked Surface Pro 3 - How to DP-chain for Extended desktop?
Hi,
I purchased two P2418HT monitors and am trying to configure them with my SurfacePro 3 (and docking station) for extended desktop mode with Windows 10. Extended desktop works between PC and monitor 1, but monitor 2 only displays "No DP Cable" dialog. I suspect that my daisy-chain config is either flawed or not supported with this model monitor but really don't know.
Maybe I should be using a pair of MDP-to-DP cables, one from the MDP on the PC to monitor 1 and the other from the MDP on the dock to monitor 2? Just guessing here. Any ideas?
Anyway, all advice is sincerely appreciated. Below is my current config. Thanks in advance.

Dell u2412m not opening, blinking blue light.
Hello all. As title describes, my monitor(U2412m) isn't opening anymore. Yesterday all of a sudden it gone blank, and then the light of the power button keeps blinking. From what I read this is most probably a hardware issue but I don't remember if i still have warranty. I 've tried everything. Removing all the cords(power and dvi) trying to reset it but nothing worked so far.
Here's more info:
SN: CN-0Y1H5T-74261-2AL-4YPL and Rev A05.
I use an nvidia Gtx1050 with dvi cord, and windows 10 as the software. I even tried connecting the power cable to another plug, but the same results. Finally I 've perchused my monitor from a reseller in Greece. If any of you can help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Dell P2415Q on the GTX 260
Hi!
I've been trying to conect my new Dell p2415Q through the NVidia GTX260 using an HDMI cable with DVI adapter. I've set the monitor to use HDMI but I can't seem to get it to work. Is this a problem with the card? I've tried lowering the resolution to 1200/1080 but get no option to reduce the refresh rate to 30 and the screen just flickers a little. Could you please help?

UP2716D Monitor calibration issues
Hi,
I bought the UP2716D Monitor a couple months ago, for professional graphics work and have for the life of me not been able to calibrate the monitor.
Thumbnails in windows (10) look colorful, but as soon as I open them in Photoshop, or even windows image viewer the colors, saturation and temp all change. It makes consistent work impossible as I'm never sure what my clients are seeing, or if my feedback is accurate. And working between multiple programs is a nightmare.
The monitor has so far been a very expensive paperweight. I've tried calibrating with driver updates, in Photoshop and in the windows color manager with out any success. I'm very disappointed with this as I expected the calibration tools would be included.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
