Could it somehow be possible to get an update for your ultrawides which would allow a picture-by-picture ratio other than 1:1.
I think that many people, myself included bought an ultrawide to replace a dual screen setup. However, only having only ONE actual monitor poses some everyday problems for people like me. I miss the ability to full screen youtube/other video material on one screen and still be able to work on the other screen. Same goes for gaming and other content that benefits from having 2 actual screens.
Using PBP your are able to have "two" actual screens, and thus being able to fullscreen one screen and work on the other display. But I would like to be able to adjust the ratio between the screens in PBP mode (adjust the portion of the screen-estate they "cover"), like for instance 1920:1440 for main, and 1520x1440 for sub, or 2160x1440 + 1280x1440, or maybe most usefull 2560x1440+880x1440 giving you a 16:9 main display for video/consol gaming/you-name-it-16:9 content, and a sub display for webbrowsing word-processing etc.
I do know that I could use your Display Manager "Easy arrange", but it does not help the fullscreen issue nor using PBP for gaming on a consol/watching TV from an other source.
Add 16:9+5:9 PBP on your ultrawide monitors
HDMI activation puts my XPS8500 in power safe mode - unable to get out.

Dell P2417H Eltron USB3 (SS) Hub problem
Somehow the driver for the Eltron USB3 (SS) Hub won't install. I tried multiple drivers, but always get the message: This device cannot start (code 10).
Does somebody know a solution for this or where I can find the driver? Thanks in advance.
U2415 - The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate
I've gone through 3 AMD driver versions with this computer and still get some slightly wonky behavior. Sometimes when coming back from 15 minute monitor auto-shut off Windows has a hard time setting the displays correctly and my icons move all over, very frustrating. I *suspect* thats a windows issue though.
I noticed a few driver versions ago the error message in the AMD control settings "The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate" . Does anyone know if these two issues are related? Is there any way to get this error to go away?
DP 1.2 is set to disabled.

How to watch live TV on my SE2416H Monitor. Source is Rogers HD TV Box.
I understand this monitor has no built in speakers. I have connected the TV Box to monitor via HDMI Cable. I get video feed but no sound (no speakers on board). Does this monitor have audio out and/or audio in on the lower bezel? (Monitor came without an User Manual.)
Can i use the Audio card on the computer to set something up? . Can you help? Additionally I need to listen to the Audio from the streaming via Headphones.
If there is no chance of making it work. Could i get results if i purchase a Monitor from Dell that has minimally HDMI (1 or 2 connectors) + Audio out?
I would appreciate Dell's help answering this issue. Also maybe forums members versed on Rogers HD to monitor setups.
Thank you kindly
UP2716D problem -- current input timing not supported. Help please!
Monitor occasionally goes to black and then back (after a couple seconds). Then every once in a while a notice comes up saying:
The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 2560x1440, 60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per monitor specifications.
This monitor has worked perfectly for months with this same desktop with a previous owner. I don't think any settings were changed.
Connected via HDMI.
Thanks.
u2410 gaming mode in rgb?
I am wondering if their is any firmware to allow rgb colours with the lower gaming mode latency for the u2410?
Also, I've read there is a"work around" where you select gaming mode preset, press the ok button, and then select rgb, without hitting ok, and you get the best of both worlds. However a) it resets after a computer reboot, and b) is it in any way bad for the monitor doing that?
Thanks!!!!
Dell P2415Q monitor not detected when using display port
The monitor connects using the HDMI port but not using DP. It's not getting detected in the display settings (windows 10). I've tried rolling back and updating gpu drivers but to no effect. It used to be working fine until recently when I put my laptop in sleep mode. Please help me to solve this issue.
Hardware (LUT) calibrating a U2413 using a Virtual Windows Machine running on OSX 10.10.5
Does anyone have any experience of using VirtualBox to calibrate the LUT of a U2413 using Virtual Box to run Windows 10? I'm trying to do this in OSX10.10.5 on a MacPro5.1
I can get the Dell Calibration software to run and perform a software calibration but I'm not able to access the CAL1 / CAL2 settings which tells me i'm not accessing the monitor's LUT.
I'm using Dell software verison 1.5.3 (when I try to update the installation does not work)
When I look at Displays in Computer Management in Windows, my two monitors are only registered as Generic Non-Pnp Monitor rather than model name.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks
Dell P2317H moving gradients problem
Hello, i bought Dell P2317H, and like this monitor very much. But there is a problem that i noticed, while using it. When there is a change of tone on a monitor (in video games and movies when a picture changes from light to dark, a rising sun for example, or change of tone in a sky, or in windows welcoming screen when its changing) there are noticeable lines of gradients present. After testing more i noticed that when changing from light (or dark) tone to another one, it gets these lines. An example of this i managed to replicate is scrolling up and down this gradient picture (in browser or program)
i get horizontal lines on it. I do not see any gradients or lines when picture is steady and when i move it slow, but zooming in, and scrolling up and down produces said lines. I have another monitor, a notebook, and scrolling this picture i get no lines. This issue, like i said, is also present when gradients changing in games and movies. It is very disappointing, and distracting.
I tried hard reset, tried different cables (HDMI, DP), and tried connecting monitor to my notebook. Issue still remains. I also tested that only setting that is influencing visibility of those lines is "contrast". Only on 40 to 45 contrast there are no noticeable lines.
Please tell me, is my monitor broken? Is there any way i can fix it? I like it very much, and would love to keep it, but this problem with gradients is bugging me out. Thank you in advance.
Dell U2913WMt - display unresponsive, bricked. Power but nothing else.
- Monitor is unresponsive when connected via any port.
- Monitor is unresponsive when connected to any computer.
- Monitor powers-on OK with a beep, a steady power LED and flashing function LEDs. No back-light, no image, no response from input or function keys.
- Monitor has to be powered-off by force (holding down power button until power-off)
- Monitor will not enter Self-Test mode when disconnected and powered-on.
- Monitor OSD/menu is not accessible.
- Model: U2913WMt
- Service Tag: B132T62
- Serial: CN-05YD8C-74445-59U-862L
- Rev: A06
- Purchased from: Scorptec Computers Pty Ltd
- Purchase date: 23rd April 2016
- Monitor was plugged into PC and working fine (connected to an NVidia GTX 970 graphics card via mini-displayport)
- Started playing a game (Wolfenstein: The New Order)
- Paused the game and left the PC.
- PC went into sleep mode (as did the monitor I presume)
- I returned and woke-up the PC (lights, fans, everything seems ok).
- Dell monitor does not respond.
- Power-off everything overnight. Power-on the next day. Monitor unresponsive.
- Attempted to put the Dell monitor into Self-Test mode, but it remains unresponsive (following Dell troubleshooting guide).
- Attempted a different port connection to the PC (DVI). Monitor unresponsive.
- Attempted to connect the monitor to a different computer. Monitor unresponsive.
- Everything mentioned in the Dell manual.
So it seems to me that this monitor has bricked itself, so I have started the RMA process with the retailer. Thought I'd raise the issue here just in case there's something I can do about it before it goes to a better place.
I've read through the forums and I think it's a similar issue as this:
Which monitor should I buy? 1080p vs. 1440p?
"Flipped" view upside down
Running an Optiplex 3020 desktop that had graphics card for only one display. Called Dell to upgrade to dual monitors and new video card, which they shipped and I installed in the 3020. Everything works great except....When designating either monitor to be in PORTRAIT FLIPPED configuration it displays upside down when I rotate the monitor. Logic tells me to just rotate the monitor in the other direction, but the stand only rotates one way. Can this be corrected??
Video Card - AMD Radeon R7 250 2GB
Monitor - Dell P2217H
Windows 10 Pro
The monitor will rotate in a clockwise direction on the stand, I am unable to get it to rotate counterclockwise. I have seen that some can change the display by pressing CTRL + ALT + up/down arrow, but this does not work on my set up.
Thanks in advance for offering any solution that may be available.
Dell U3100 Color Problems
Please see attachment at bottom for photos of problem. Thank you.
I am a photographer and I had been using the system below prior to a new PC with Windows 10.
Dell Inspiron 620 with integrated NVidia GeForce graphics card. Windows 7 platform.
Dell U3011 Ultrasharp Monitor (wide gamut)
Adobe Photoshop 4 (PS)
Adobe Lightroom 5.7.1 (LR)
Color Munki Display Calibration 1.3.1
This combination worked well for many years.
Current System:
Asus G11CD with dedicated graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. Windows 10 platform. I thought this would be much better for photo processing software.
Video out ports: DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, DL-DVI
Monitor cabling: DL-DVI
Windows power plan: don’t know
Monitor resolution: 2560 x 1600 @ 60Hz
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am living a nightmare.
I calibrated the monitor after the switch and Lightroom images were radically different from Photoshop images. I recalibrated and they are almost identical, but now all photo viewers adversely affect the images.

Color problems with P2715Q
Hello,
I have purchased two P2715Q monitors. One is a revision A03 and the other is an A04. Ironically, the one that was manufactured more recently is the older revision.
Anyways, the issue I am having is with the color calibration. Both monitors out-of-the-box have a different hue when put together side-by-side. I factory reset both monitors and reset the color settings on both to default and the colors are still different between the two. One of the monitors came with a color certification sheet, the other did not.
The newer monitor (with the older A03 revision) has more of a warm hue when looking at whites. The older monitor (with the newer A04 revision) has more of a cooler tone with the whites and looks more accurate.
If the marketing on this monitor claims each monitor is factory tuned at 99% sRGB with a color calibration factory report certifying that each monitor has a deltaE < 3. That means you get precise color coverage right out of the box... then why am I seeing such a variation between the two?
Daisy Chain P2414H
I am having difficulty setting up a daisy chain between 2 Dell P2414h monitors. I can extend between my laptop and 1 monitor. I can extend between the other dell monitor and my laptop. I can't seem to daisy chain the 2 Dell monitors. Youtube says I need to enable daisy chaining, but only shows how to do that for the U2414. Others have said it was a cable issue. Bought a new display port cable. That didn't work.

Dell P2417H screen glitch when changing contrast.
I have noticed that after couple of hours on a daily basis I get a weird glitch at the top of the screen like a line. It is not always noticeable in software/games or on desktop, but it is always noticeable when I go ctrl+alt+del and I get that Windows 10 blue screen many.
I did not know what causes it until today when I tried to change contrast level. The glitch changes the shape or "frequency" if I may call it like that, when I change contrast ( video provided for better understanding). The glitch appears at about 74% and changes the shape all the way to 87% and then it disappears.
www.youtube.com/watch
I also noticed that the glitch goes away when I turn off and turn on the monitor quickly. But after few hours it appears again. ( also provided in the video )
I already tried to reset all settings to default, it did not help. The monitor is connected to PC with DP cable to Asus GTX 780 graphics card. A 40" Samsung TV is also connected to the graphics card and it works normally without problems for 2 years now. Graphics card worked just fine with the old monitor also, so I think it is safe to say that graphics card is not the issue.
I bought this monitor new 2 months ago so it is still under warranty.
Can someone please explain what the problem is and if the warranty covers this problem or "glitch"?
Dell Monitor P2417H and Display Port Issue
Hi All
We have a bit of an issue connecting a Dell P2417H monitor via Display Port. The laptop we are connecting to the monitor is a Del E6440 with Intel HD Graphics 4600. The laptop is connected to a Dell Dock and the monitor is connected to the dock, however we just get an error message saying 'No DP signal from your device. Press any key on the keyboard or mouse to wake it up'. The laptop is on and not in sleep mode.
I have made sure that the input source is on DP, I have completely removed the graphics card drivers and re-installed the latest ones from Dell, tried using a different DP cable and a different dock however no luck.
The monitor works fine if you connect it with VGA, it just wont work with DP.
One think I Can try is disabling DP 1.2 but there is no where on the monitor settings to do this?
Any help would be appreciated, I have tried searching on the net but can't seem to find anything related to this monitor.
Many thanks in advance.

S2415H banding on certain shades of blue
I just got an S2415H about an hour ago. I have it connected to my GPU (Radeon R9 200) via HDMI.
There's an odd issue with the screen where certain shades of blue look slightly "banded", by which I mean it appears that they alternate between slightly darker and lighter shades rather than being uniform. It's not a huge issue--you need to be fairly close to the screen to notice it--but it jumped out at me as soon as I turned the monitor on since my Windows 10 theme and desktop background both contain shades of blue that are affected. All other colours seem to be fine.
When I unplug my HDMI cable and the monitor test box comes up, I can see the same issue in part of the box that's coloured blue, so I don't think the problem is anything to do with my setup.
Dell U2417H DisplayPort
Hey guys,
I'm not able to connect my Lenovo T510i to my Dell U2417H via DisplayPort. I get the following message on the screen "No DP signal from your device"
What you need to know:
- My Lenovo T510i is running Windows 7. Drivers are up to date (including graphics, chipset and BIOS)
- I'm able to connect this Lenovo T510i to my colleagues Dell P2417H via DisplayPort using the same cable. Everything works fine there.
- I connected a different notebook to my Dell U2417H via DisplayPort and it worked.
- I know that this Monitor has a DisplayPort Input and Output. I'm using the right one :)
What can I do to make this setup work? Why is it working on my colleagues P2417H But not on my U2417H? It's really a big issue for me so I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks a lot.
