My New Dell UP2516D (A01) and new PC don't like each other.
Under the NVIDIA Control Panel I get and "Alert" saying "A Repeater is connected to you system.... etc"
The system will not play or display HD content from any source, be it Blu-ray optical, image on HDD, stream from UV (Flixster, Sony etc). And all the associated librarys and view applications for those stream services show that with this hardware only SD versions are available; and those same libraries when view on my budget Lenovo laptop show up as being available in HD and SD and accordingly play in HD.
The monitor is connected to the Asus Nvidia GeForce Turbo GTX1070 - 8G video card via a DP to Mini DP cable.
I have also tried an HDMI to HDMI cable and it made no difference to inability to play or stream HD content.
I have spent 3 hours on the phone to Dell support in the Philippines.
I have spent 2 hours online with Nvidia support.
We have clean removed and clean reinstalled all NVidia and Dell drivers; installed numerous diagnostic software to capture system and monitor info.
And in addition the Service Tag and serial number on the unit aren't even accepted by Dell's support website, so I could even log the issue online in the usual manner, and no one at Dell can tell me why this brand new monitor doesn't even allow me to register it in their system!?!?!?!?!!?!?
Kinda of at my ends whit with all this... is there an Dell Obe Wan, because that person will be my only hope. Otherwise this screen can go back to its original home.
Thanks in advance.
