I've read through this thread and am having similar issues. As requested by the last post in that thread, here is my new thread containing the specific details of my setup and symptoms.
My Devices:
- Surface Pro 3 in docking station (using its 48w power cable)
- U2913WM
- Model No: U2913WMt
- REV A05
- S/N: CN-05YD8C-74445-4C8-486L
- Manufactured Dec 2014
- DP 1.2 Enabled in OSD
- U2415
- Model No: U2415b
- REV A01
- S/N: CN-OPVJVW-74261-514-0N0L
- Manufactured Jan 2015
- DP 1.2 Disabled in OSD
Connections:
- SP3 Dock mDP out --> Dell mDP to DP cable --> U2913WM DP in
- U2913WM DP out --> Dell mDP to DP cable --> U2415 mDP in
Symptoms:
- Upon waking Windows from sleep, the external monitors are not detected.
Work around:
- Undock and redock once and the U2913WM is detected.
- Undock and redock a second time and the U2415 is also detected.
- After redocking twice, all monitors now work as expected.
