I have a Dell P2312H monitor. I've had one problem with this - it flickers, then proceeds to turn blank. It usually continues and proceeds to become faster over time. The only way of preventing this is turning the monitor off. This only fixes it for nearly the amount of time I've turned it off. If I leave it to flicker, it then doesn't show any video and just stays dark.
I have made sure it is not my cables but I'm not sure about my graphics card. My card is the NVidia 9500 GT.
My 20 digit serial number is CN-0Y333X-74445-346-NEEL. I'm currently using windows 7. I'm also using the Nvidia driver version 341.44.
The video ports available on my graphics card are 1 DVI-I port and a VGA port. I am currently using two monitors, so both take each port.
I'm using a VGA cable for one monitor and then converting it to DVI-I to plug it into the computer, if that matters. The P2312H monitor has been having this problem even when it has been plugged in using the DVI-I converter and when it has not been. Yes, the monitor matches the default resolution and I am sure that my PC is using the default resolution. (I have bought this monitor from a reseller).
I wish to get this problem fixed.
