I would like to check the specification of my Dell 1905FP monitor however the reference is not known by the Dell search engine and the link posted on 24th Jun 2005 is no longer available.

Can anyone tell me how I can obtain the technical details of this monitor, for example is is capable of full HD.

Dell u2414h keeps entering powersave mode

Have a dell u2414h. Originally was supposed to be an external monitor to my laptop but wouldnt work. Turned out my laptops displayport input was broken so I bought a desktop to connect to the monitor.

At first when I connected it all worked fine but when I turned it on the next morning I got the message entering powersave mode. I diconnected and reconnected all the cables and it worked again but since then pretty much every time I turn on the computer I get the same message on the monitor and a few times after disconnecting and reconnecting cables its worked but tonight I have the same error message again and whatever i do it gos to powersave mode.

Pretty much lost my patience with it now and think Ill have to return it, I mean it shouldnt be this hard every time you want to turn on your computer. Looked elsewhere and it seems lots of people have experienced this problem but havent found a solution. Thought Id ask here before attempting toreturn it to see if theres a simple solution Ive missed. I really like the monitor when it works but its royally annoying me now!! The desktop is a dell optiplex 760 and its connected to the monitor with a dp to mini dp cable which was provided with the u2414h.

I had a Planar PXL2430MV connected to a dell power edge 2900 running windows 2003 and the touch screen work fine but lighting hit the Planar and fried a board inside so it no longer works.  Bought a new Dell P2314T touch screen and I get good video but the  touch screen wont work.  I have a cd with new drivers on it but have not loaded it yet not quite knowing what would happen.  I talk to a person at dell for an 1 hour and he was still not sure if I would cause a problem with the server or not.

Any ideas any one..??

Dell U2414H black screen at Windows 10 start

I made a clean install of Windows 10 and noticed that after restarting PC I see black screen instead of desktop (the BIOS loading and windows 10 loading screen are okay). If I turn monitor off and on, then everything is working, I can see the desktop. After another windows restart I have the same issue and have to turn monitor off and on again. It also worth mentioning that if I start PC by pressing power button (not a restart), then everything works fine.

Previously I had windows 7 running with this monitor for more than a year without any problems, so I think that it's related to windows 10 compatibility. Installing windows 10 drivers from DELL's site didn't help.

U2711, No Display Port Cable, Does Not Work

Ok,so.This Dell U2711 monitor when turned on, has a "No Display Port Cable" box bounce around the screen. Plugging a Display Port cable in doesn't work at all, ie it is not detected. So to fix this I tried to change the input source, to a hdmi. However, the OSD is locked. Don't know how. So as recommended I tried holding down the 4 and 5 button for 15 seconds. Or holding down just the fifth button for 15 seconds. Neither of these succeeded in unlocking the OSD, because about 5 seconds into that 15 second hold, the "No Display Port Cable" bounces around and interrupts my reset. The only other solution i can think of is going through and buying every other type of cable this monitor can use and trying that. However really don't want to because that is a real long and annoying process. Is there a way to reset the monitor.

UP2716D, GeForce 9800 GT, HDMI out

I bought the above monitor which works fine with my MacBook Pro. However, I can't get the monitor to work with my PC running Windows 10 with the Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT connected via HDMI (and an HDMI to DVI adapter). I've installed the driver. Under Devices the monitor is listed and under displays and screen resolution, I have the option to extend, duplicate and shift my display to the Dell screen which would imply that the OS can see the display and the connection is fine. However the monitor isn't detecting or displaying anything. Can you please help?

U3415W - change 50/50 setting for dual operation?

Is it possible to change the fixed 50/50 screen distribution between 2x connected windows hosts connected to? Actually I would like to have a wider desktop (HDMI) and a smaller one (DP). Unfortunately I need both set to 1.600x1.200 resolution, so both displays are shown correctly.

More or less, I would prefer to have 1.920x1.440 on the "right" half (HDMI) and 1.400x1.050 from the DP connected laptop, which may be scaled to fit in the screen space available. Any ideas, how tis could be set up/configured?

U2515H - Switching off with power button behavior

I have a dual monitor setup of:
BenQ RL2455HM - HDMI connection
DELL U2515H (as primary monitor) - mDP connection

Other system specs:
OS: Windows 7 x64
GPU: GTX 970

To save energy on my U2515H monitor, I tried switching off the screen with the power ON/OFF button and it disconnected. Windows set the other monitor as primary and the DELL one was not found in Control Panel/.../Screen Resolution. Upon switching the power button on, Windows changed it back as primary.
Is this an expected behavior for this model?

U3415W - USB HUB and Peripherals Issue

I'm using the U3415W to share multiple peripherals between two computers.

I've been experiencing a problem with a few of the peripherals and this hub.

Issue One:

The peripheral just stops working. This is the most pronounced with keyboards and headsets. The peripheral will just stop working. I have to unplug it plug it back in again.

Issue Two:

Keys will be repeated many times (10-20+)

I've tried multiple keyboards, same issue.

I tried plugging my peripherals into another hub and they work without issue.

Is there anything I can do with the built in hub? Is there any firmware update or anything else I can try?

Dual Monitor Pairing

I have a Dell Optiplex 360 and am trying to pair dual monitors together.  Because the 360 only has one VGA port, I am connecting the second monitor via VGA to USB.  The system is not detecting the second monitor and my question is it due to an improper connection or because the second monitor is an HP w2071d?  Thank you!

Dell S2340M will not wake up out of Power Save mode

$

I connect the S2340M as a secondary monitor from my Dell 5510 Laptop.  HDMI out of the laptop --> DVI into the monitor (laptop does not have DVI, and monitor does not have HDMI, so have to use a HDMI --> DVI cable).

If left idle, the monitor will go into Power Save mode, and will not wake up with the computer.  The only thing that works is unplugging and re-plugging the HDMI/DVI cable (which moves all the applications that were on the secondary monitor, back to my laptop).  While in Power Save mode, it is unable to detect the active computer connected to it.  Turning the monitor on/off, selecting menu options, specifying the 'DVI' input under menu options, etc. do not cause it to recognize the computer.  The only thing that works is unplugging/re-plugging the cable.  Is this a side effect of the HDMI/DVI cable?  Any suggestions on how to fix?

Can I buy Dell U2515h directly from dell in India.

Resellers are not selling this product and few of them are quoting very high price.
I have contacted the enquiry forms but they have not reverted back to me.

Hello Dell community,

I am using two P2314H monitors and i am having noticeable flickering on youtube videos and the software i use for my work.

Here is a video i recorded for demonstration on 3 different software:

www.youtube.com/watch

I am using a Gtx 750Ti gpu, my monitors run at 60HZ , tried upscaling the 1920x1080 to 75HZ nothing changed also tried the 1280x920 75HZ option no difference.

Its quite frustrating since its hurting my eyes after a while.

Is there any solution for that?

Thanks in advance,

Nikos

MacBook Pro with Dell monitor and GRaid won't daisy chain

I got the monitor to work with my MacBook Pro, but now I'm trying to add a GRaid thunderbolt drive into the mix with no luck. Computer > Drive > Monitor shows the drive but the monitor goes to sleep. My laptop keeps acting like it wants to turn on the display (blinks). Computer > Monitor > Drive gets me the monitor but no sign of the drive (I plugged in to the Thunderbolt connection on the back of the monitor.

Do I need a dock with more Thunderbolt ports to make this work?

P2213 No Power Save Mode

The Dell P2213 is connected to a Dell OptiPlex 9020 via DisplayPort, and to a discreet video card. When the monitor and PC go into power save mode the P2213 wakes up a few seconds later and displays the message listed below, and then goes into power save mode anew - rinse and repeat into infinitum.

I would prefer the monitor go into sleep mode, and stay that way until I wake it and not continuously power itself on and off.

I have a two other Dell monitors connected to the OptiPlex (connected via DisplayPort to the embedded Intel chip) and they do not have this issue. I’ve used the P2213 with other Dells and a Mac mini, and the issue is the same across them all.

Here is the P2213’s message that it flashes on its screen right before it powers down, only to return a few seconds later when it powers up:

“There is no signal coming from your computer. Please any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to wake it up. If there is no display, please the monitor button now to select the correct input source on the On-Screen-Display menu.”

P2213 - display is turning on and off and on and off and on and off....

I have two external monitors (both received at the same time, both he same model).  I got them in 2014 and had them connect to the dock my laptop is connected to.  Friday I received a new laptop that upgraded me from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  Everything worked fine. Until this morning when I powered up.  One of the monitors is repeatedly going black and then back to my desktop.  All the cords are plugged in, I performed diagnostics (pushing & holding buttons 1 & 4).  Updated drivers.  Nothing works.  I can't reset the monitor as the display keeps turning off and I can't choose factor reset or anything in  the menu.  Any other options or is this thing just toast?

P2414H Cannot go into sleep mode with Display Port connection

$

We compared 3 Dell monitors for sleep mode support: 20" LCD, 23" LCD, and 24" LCD. When in sleep mode, the monitor turns off the backlight completely, and the power button pulses.

Our 23" P2314H failed, and Dell replaced it with a P2414H. The P2414H refuses to go into sleep mode whether it's plugged in via DVI or Displayport; unplugging the cable causes the monitor to bring up an alert stating "no connection, going to sleep mode".

Our older 20" monitor uses the DVI cable and goes to sleep mode properly, but that model does not pulse the power button.

The P2314H  had failed to go into sleep mode while plugged in via Display Port, but after switching to VGA, it properly went to sleep mode. When switching back to Display Port, it continued to properly enter sleep mode.

On each pc we set the monitor to connect Automatically, and also set it to specific connection types: DVI, VGA, Display Port. This did not seem to affect the monitor's behavior when connected with a specific cable type.

Since the majority of new computers and new monitors will be working from the Display Port connection, it is important to get the Display Port to recognize sleep mode.
