Hi,
I received a new UP2716D yesterday, bought from a reseller in the UK. It was manufactured in August 2015 (and delivered to the distributor in November).
I have to say I am disappointed with the colour uniformity in any of the colour space modes. The left third of the display has a slight blue tinge which slowly morphs to a slight red tinge on the far right of the monitor. It is a slight tinge, but noticeable to the naked eye (in particular the left third of the screen and on a white screen).
Now, if I switch to any of the modes that allow uniformity compensation, and turn uniformity compensation on, everything is fine (i.e. the tinge goes away). But uniformity compensation cannot be used in the colour space modes!
From my point of view, the colour space modes simply aren't usable, and this definitely is not good enough for a £500 monitor. The monitor replaces a U2711, which had no problem of this sort.
I have uploaded the calibration report, but I'm not sure how much use it could be since the uniformity numbers are taken with uniformity compensation on:
I am not sure what to do. Is this typical of the monitor? Is there anything Dell could do rather than me going via the retailer?
