My new XPS8700 and U2515H arrived today and i'm having trouble getting the monitor to connect.
If I connect the mini-DP to the monitor and the larger DP side to the XPS i get the message "no DP cabel". If I go into the monitor settings and choose mini DP as the input I get the error message:
Unsupported video config detection:
This computer has an add-in graphics card but the monitor cable is plugged into the integrated video connector.
There is no DP slot in the add-in graphics section on the back. I tried HDMI to HDMI but that didn't work.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do as there are no other DP slots to connect it to. Surely it should connect with the cabels which came with it - or do I need to go out and buy a DP to HDMI or similar?
