I am running two U2713H monitors from my computer that is equipped with a Radeon HD 8570 display adapter. I have one monitor attached via mini-DP and it works perfectly (whichever of the two monitors it is). I have the other monitor connected with the Dual-Link DVI cable that came with the monitor, but on that second monitor the max available resolution is 1920x1080. Higher resolutions are not shaded out option, they are just not options. I tried both Dual Link DVI cables to make sure it wasn't the cable (...maybe both were bad). I switched between which monitors is DP and which is DVI, it's always the DVI one, so the monitors check out. I've installed the most recent monitor drivers as well as the most recent Radeon drivers. No effect. I have no idea why the computer doesn't think that this monitor can handle its native resolution. The monitor can, the cable can, and the video card can. Is there a strange, hidden setting somewhere I have to adjust to get these things talking properly to each other? Is there some other test I can do to find out if which, if any, component is faulty?
