here is my setup:
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (2015) - model 7548; Windows 8.1 64bits
connected via USB 3.0 to
Docking Station: Dell Docking Station USB 3.0 - model D3100
connected via DisplayPort + USB 3.0 cables to
Monitor: Dell U2414H (1920 x 1080, 60 Hz)
S/N: CN-0R9F1P-74261-458-8DLL (Rev A01)
I followed your posts "Read First" and "Build in Diagnostic". It seems that BID passed without problem, getting all the colors.
I have both the laptop screen and the external monitor ON to work in dual screen setup. In windows 8.1 the external monitor is set a primary display.
Video Card: AMD Radeon R7 M270 & Intel Graphics HD 5500 (both have latest drivers from Dell Drivers website for the Inspiron 7548)
In parallel, my TV is connected to the docking station through HDMI as 3rd monitor, it has never had the black screen problem. BUT, I feel that out of the randomness of this happening, it happens the most when I watch a video online (I would not be able to tell if it is when I play a default 480p video or when I toggle it to 1080p).
Can you help me please? I bought everything Dell on purpose in the hope of having everything working smoothly together.
