P2815Q Input Latency

Hi,

I've just received a P2815Q monitor for work (programming). The 30Hz issue seemed fine, given that it is not meant for gaming. However, having looked around a bit, I can see that many others are facing the input latency issue. It has been reported before (http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19542742.aspx), but the response from Dell doesn't seem promising. 100ms is a massive amount of latency, and makes even programming difficult.

Is there any workaround for this? I don't understand what processing has to be done that would account for 100ms latency, unheard of even for televisions that do frame interpolation for "120Hz smoothness".

Please, even if it requires a special firmware that would invalidate any warranty with Dell. It's taken months for my department to put this order through, and having to go through the process of a return for this monitor would be a massive hinderance - leaving me without a monitor in the meantime.

Honestly, I'm disappointed in Dell for not making this clear in the specifications of the monitor. If there is no workaround available, this will certainly be the last monitor I purchase from Dell.

Thanks,
