Configuring Win7 on M4800 connected to U2713HM via Dockingstation (DVI) to show native resolution

I have an M4800 in the Dockingstation (via DVI-Port) connected to U2713HM.

How do I have to configure Win7 to get native Resolution (2560x1440)?? (Win says the monitor has native resolution 1024x768...)

The maximum resolution Win7 offers is FullHD. I can create a custom resolution (2560x1440, 60Hz) in the NVIDIA Ctrl Panel, and the resolution changes to the expected 2560x1440, BUT the external monitor does not run stable with this. It just goes black sometimes for a short moment, then the it works again for a few minutes...until the next "blackout". It seems that I cannot trigger this "blackout", it just happens randomly.... sometime it works fine for a while, and sometime it flickers a few times within one minute. Something is clearly wrong. Perhaps the sync or frequency is not working perfectly fine?

(Note: The build-in LCD in the M4800 work perfectly fine, even when the external U2713HM has this "blackout".)

Especially the fact that Win reports a native resolution of 1024x768 shows that the monitor is not detected properly. (Driver for U2713HM is installed, and the Monitor is listed shown as U2713HM.)

In the Notification area sometimes a note pops up, saying "the best resolution is 1024x768"...

Any  advice on how to configure this monitor correctly is well appreciated.
