Problem with warranty service on S2340M

On March 29 2013, I purchased a Dell computer and a Dell monitor from Fry's Electronics. My Dell XPS 8700 is currently out of warranty. My 23" Dell S2340M IPS Led Monitor is not according to the monitor warranties forum found at http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19263699.aspx I would like to use the 3 year warranty that my Dell S2340M monitor qualifies for. I am having issues with a green hue coming from the left side of the monitor and fading into normalcy about 1/3 of the way through. There are also faint horizontal lines within the green hue area, but not extending all the way across. Also, I noticed that when I go from a light colored window such as this one, to a darker screen, a pink silhouette is left behind. I have spoken with a Dell representative over the phone and without the service tag, which this monitor does not come with according to the article in the link I have provided, they consider it part of the XPS 8700 because of the fact that it is plugged into it. I would like to ask for some advice on how to resolve this issue. I can provide all of the information required to seek out a repair or replacement, but need confirmation on this policy. Thank you.
