I bought a Dell U2413 monitor 6 months back. It was working fine but since last one month it is showing strange problems. While I switch on the monitor, all the LEDs at the side bar glows on one by one like normal starting up but the screen remain dark (unchanged). After that I can not even switch off the monitor by the on/off button. The on/off button glows continuously. I need to unplug the monitor to switch it off.
However, once in a week or so it gets turn on and then it works perfectly. Only a couple of times it showed pink and black lines for few seconds. Otherwise, when it gets switched on it works perfectly for few hours until I shut down the computer.
I use it as second monitor (for photo processing) with my Macbook Pro Retina 15" 2013, connected through mini-display/ thunderbolt port.
I am not even able to contact Dell customer support as the monitor didn't come with a service tag number. Any help would be appreciated.
