UP2414Q - greenshift - calibration usesless

Hello,

I have a new UP2414Q on Displayport with 30Hz and X-Rite i1Display Pro with the Dell UltraSharp Calibration Solution 1.5.3. and Windows 8.1

If I try to calibrate to native, adobeRGB or SRGB -gamut and brightness to 80 cd/m²  I get a terrible greenshift. The greenshift is as bigger as lower the brightness. With native brightness the greenshift is verry low, but not 0.

Native brightness is useless for softproofing,  80 cd/m²  and  White Point  of 5000 Kelvin is needed.

This 5000 Kelvin Whitepoint is not in the presets of the Dell UltraSharp Calibration Solution. If I try to set this whitepoint manually the software crashes every time I start the calibration.

I found out that the Dell UltraSharp Calibration Solution starts with the color calibration and after that it sets the target brightness. All other calibration software (not from x-Rite) do this vice versa. I think thats the reason why the calibration fails.

I also have a calibrated eizo cg222w. If I set both monitors side by side the difference (because of the green shift) is critical, even in the Adobe/SRGB factory presets. It is possible to measure the Dell-monitor, and set this as the target for the Eizo, and it works perfect. Both monitors are identically in brightness and whitepoint and in the greenAngry But this is not what I want to have.

My questions are:

  1. is the greenshift a general problem of the UP2414Q ?  - I found some personal reports from privat users that indicates that...
  2. Is a change in the Dell UltraSharp Calibration Solution planned to set the brightness first and calibrate after (not sure if that will help)
  3. What are Dells warranty conditions to tha point? Which deltaE the user have to accept?

Thanks for Your Help

Best Regards

Frank
