Question: Is it true that the only way to get 2560x1600 on the U3011 is via the DisplayPort connection? That seems to be my experience. I have both a MacBook Pro Retina 15 and a Surface Pro 2. Each one will connect to the U3011 and provide 2560x1600 if and only if connected to the monitor's DisplayPort connection. When I try to connect via the DVI-D dual link branded cables, the resolution max's out at 1600x1200. Even VGA will go higher than that. But not the DVI-D, even have been trying various cables. (I can no longer find the DVI-D cable that came with the monitor.) Anyway, this seems to demonstrate that the issue is not a driver issue, because it is consistent on both Mac and Windows machines - both of which are running latest drivers and OS updates. HERE IS THE KICKER: the MANUAL insures that 2560x1600 is offered on BOTH DVI and DisplayPort digital signal inputs. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks
