I have the USB upstream cable attached to the motherboard's USB 3.0 port. (Have tried both of them).
I can plug USB 2.0 devices into any port on the monitor & they work flawlessly but when I plug in a USB 3.0 device they aren't recognised by the OS.
I have tried 2x USB3.0 flash drives and none of them work, but they work when attached to the motherboard.
My little Seagate portable drive will not work either unless (and this is the good part) I attach the upstream cable to a USB2.0 port.
The only thing I can think of is that it's a driver issue as it shows up in Device Manager as "Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub" which I cannot change.
OS is Win8.1 Pro x64
Thanks for any help
Cheers
Dave
