It seems that the connection detection between my computer and the monitor has failed.
I have calibrated my U2713H using Dell's color calibration solution software twice and it was working fine. On my most recent attempt, the software asked me to verify the connection between my computer and the monitor. I unplugged it and plugged it into another slot (USB2.0), then a message popped up from the system tray saying that I should plug it in to a USB3.0 slot for faster connection. So, obviously, my computer recognized that connection. Go back to Dell's color calibration software, still didn't recognize the connection.
Tried the same on a USB3.0 port, same results.
One thing to note though is that, when I'm connected to my computer's USB3.0 ports, it seems only the rear USB ports work on the monitor. The side ones don't seem to be active. This seems to be consistent behavior with issues / reports of USB port problems reported by other U2713H owners.
For me, I'm not too concerned about losing the usage of the extra ports. I specifically got this monitor (and i1Display Pro) so that I can take advantage of using the color calibration of the monitor LUT, so losing this feature is quite disappointing to me. So for my most recent color calibration, I had to revert to use X-Rite's software calibration software.
Any help / insight to addressing this problem would be greatly appreciated.
I don't have the monitor's revision version on hand. I placed my order with Dell Canada in mid-September 2013 and I'm using this monitor with PC running Windows 7.
