U2713H, Display Port 1.2

I understand the U2713H comes preset for DP1.1a on its display port inputs and should be switched to DP1.2 if one wishes to daisy chain to a second monitor.  My graphics card (nVidia GTX780) supports DP1.2 but I'm not planning to add a second monitor just yet.  Should I leave the monitor set for DP1.1a or would there be any advantage (or disadvantage) to setting it to DP1.2 anyway?
