I recently purchased an Ultrasharp U2414h monitor to replace my current one which was going bad. However, when I connect the monitor with my current desktop, all I get is an immediate "going to power save mode" and the screen goes blank. Since I only have VGA and DVI connections on my desktop, I've had to buy an adapter for both displayport and mini displayport on the monitor. Both give me the same response. However, when I plug my laptop into the monitor via an HDMI display
My desktop currently has an AMD Raedon 7560D video card, which I know is integrated. My laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M video card, which I assume is dedicated.
My question is this: does the ultrasharp need a dedicated as opposed to an integrated video card to work?
