I have a 2015 MacBook Pro connected to my 2007WFP and am able to use its USB ports for other devices, like HD, Printer, and video capture over USB. But my Apple Superdrive won't work with it. The Superdrive does work when connected directly to the Mac's USB port.
The Superdrive does make drive noise when I plug it in to the monitor USB so it's getting power, and the devices list shows that it needs 500ma which is within the 1000ma provided. Vendor data below. Any reason the USB ports on the monitor wouldn't be compatible? I've tried the USB reset as well but other devices work so this shouldn't be needed anyway.
