Have a p2715q manufactured 10/2015.. After a few weeks normal operations, while on VPN it suddenly showed stationary vertical ribbons of alternating light/dark areas as shown on photo. Abnormality persisted after unplugging/plugging, plugging into UPS, disconnection from computer via mdp cable. Diagnostics showed abnormality on pure grey screen, but not on pure red, green blue black or white.. Factory reset wouldn't help, nor would changing any of the settings on the menu... after several hours called tech support to get replacement... Then suddenly after about 6 hours the abnormaility quickly faded and diasappeared .. hasn't come back in several days... Any idea what it was, or is it likely to come back? The refurb arrived but had a problem of its own (won't awaken from sleep mode) so I am inclined to keep original for now, but have no idea what happened or if it is likely to reappear...
