For some time, I have been getting this error! I am working fine, and all of a sudden the LCD goes a dark and i cannot turn it back on without drastic measures. When i finally get the screen back on, i see the following error.
"The System has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate on your DisplayPort display. Your display might not support the quested resolution or there may be an issue with the cable connecting to the display on your computer."
I also notice the all my windows are resized and stacked on top of one another on the top left corner of the display. I constantly have to reset everything. Pretty annoying!
- Turning the LCD on/off does not work
- I cannot change input since the buttons only seem to work if there is an active source. (this should be fixed!)
All software software if up to date.
- AMD FilrePro W4100 Display adaptor (15.201.1151.1008-151104a-296217E)
- Display port connection (New cable)
- resolution 3840x2160 @ 60hz
- Windows 10
I have already contacted AMD thinking it is a Driver problem, but that is not the case.
What works:
- Turning the machine on and off
- Turning the LCD on and off (Rarely works)
- Adding a Raspberrypi to the HDMI and switching sources
New OS - New Video card - New Cable. the only thing i have not changed the LCD itself. BTW, i had the same issue before the upgrades. It was the cause of the new video card.
I have seen others with the same problem, has this issue been addressed? if so, what is the recommend solution? thank you for the advice!
