So this is for all owners of dell so called high end monitor P2715Q like so many of us i was an early adopter of the monitor line ordered in December of 2014 2 of them 2 K Canadian with in the first three week the first monitor display port went dead the Rev:00 , dell replaced it with an Rev 01 good news right, ? VERY wrong indeed, hindsight is 20/20 if i had a time travel device would never of bought them , OK back on topic my second monitor went dead in Aug 20 2015 which the display port stopped receiving any video signals like the first from the video card was replaced to my dread another Rev:00 monitor now over this time i went from 2 X SLI Evga 780 SC video card to 2 X SLI Evga Titian the only thing that stayed the same was the MB X79 Dark went to a xeon cpu as well all so went from win 7 ult then win 8 and finally win 10 ult the now the second monitor i did try to complain to dell about however that did not go anywhere because i was ignored so set it up and just went on with gaming in the last week of December 29 2015 that monitor display port went dead as well , now partly this is my fault when i received the replacement monitor in Aug 2015 i failed to Verify the the monitor in the box matched the S/N on the outside of the box so they had to fix it that the monitor s/n was registered to me so for about one week me and dell email back and fourth I finally sent the emails which they should of had in the first place that would of bin tied to the email address that i used to order the monitors and RMA problems was the same email it did not changed nice Novel ! so the old emails sent now they are going to send my replacement seeing the second monitor only Barely 4 MONTHS !!!! i made some Reasonable request a new build monitor June 2015 and a Base Rev:02 or higher , partly for a replacement that lasted only 4 months all so while this had bin happening the first replacement in December 2014 the Rev :01 has died ?
So back and forth i email first with the nice S/R nice lady lost my cool once in an email but Apologized on the next email then a supervisor where i did a email recap of this whole Process which got me a manager of dell monitor support department a Manjunath_B calling via land line who could only quote dell Policy which i found Offensive here i pay an huge amount of money for these two monitors i have bin with dell for years starting with the dell 2708 not a problem on any of them in one year i have had to replace three and one sitting on my desk for me to decide weather to invest any time in going through in RMA it i have sent the Aug monitor back to them that was broken that had the different S/N from the box , the latest monitor that they sent that i received on the Friday was a Rev :00 sent back the following Monday i check the fourms on dell and seen that this issue is not limited to A:00 but all through to even A:04 has problems
So i wold recommend that any one considering investing in this Series of Monitor do your Research before buying dell Solution is patching the monitors and sending them back out hence a Merry-go-round
