U3415W Loud popping from connected speakers on sleep or wake.

I have two systems connected to this monitor. I share speakers and so have the speakers plugged into the Audio Out port on the U3415W. 

This works fine EXCEPT for the loud popping sound though the speakers whenever the U3415W wakes or sleeps.

The speakers do not pop when connected to any of my laptops/pc's directly and those devices shutdown or sleep/wake.

The speaker are Harman Kardon SoundSticks II Plug and Play Multimedia Speaker System. I don't have another set of speakers to test with at the moment, however, since the problem only manifests when connected to the U3415W, I'm leaning towards the U3415W causing the issue.
