I bought a Monitor (U2414H) on December 6, 2015. The Monitor displays black band all sides (half inch on each side and quarter inch top and bottom). I have a XPS 8500 computer.
I spent about an hour with technical support explaining the problems.
They put me on hold several times, tried to transfer my call with a promise that they would call me back if the line got cut.
The line was disconnected several times. Waited and then not receiving call back I would call back every time and had to start the entire process from scratch explaining my problems.
So far, I spent an hour and half taking and waiting, but without any solution.
I tried even calling customer service to see if I can return the product. Here again, I kept on hanging on then after 20 minutes someone told me I called the business support although the number posted on Dell Website showing Home and Customer. So, I put on hold with promise that if the line got disconnected, someone would call. But, after 30 minutes waiting I gave up.
I also tried online. Chat line asked for service tag, which the monitor doesn't have, although I bought it directly from Dell website using Dell Credit card.
The monitor has serial number and another 6 digit number on the back.
It's frustrating. Can someone help?
