Hi all,
Will the Dell P2415Q monitor display UHD (3840 x 2160) video at 30 fps if I use an HDMI connection? I'm interested in buying a Dell Inspiron 7000 series laptop with an i7 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB graphics card, but the laptop only has an HDMI connection (not a Displayport connection). However, the laptop's HDMI port is 4K-ready. I just want to make sure that the P2415Q monitor supports 3840 x 2160 video at 30 hz if I connect it via HDMI, not Displayport.
I know the monitor does have an HDMI connection, but I was worried that it was only there for MHL, and not for true 3840 x 2160 video.
(I say 3840 x 2160 because some would say that 4K is technically 4096 x 2160, and I think HDMI 1.4 supports that only up to 24 fps.)
Thanks for your help! I looked through the manual and it's a little unclear. It doesn't explicitly say what resolution and frame rate is supported via the HDMI port.
