I have a new Dell U2413 monitor, connected to a Dell XPS 420 via a DVI cable. I'm overall fairly happy with it, but I have one strange problem. Having calibrated the monitor with a Spyder Pro Elite, I use the "Custom Color" mode all the time. I set the Dell Display Manager to manual to prevent any automatic changes to the mode. However, I find that after I've not used the computer for several hours, sometimes it will have switched to Game mode instead of Custom Color. The OSD still shows the preset is Custom Color, but when I open the Display Manager, it shows Game in Manual, even though I never opened the DM at all. The only possibility I can think of is that I have my power settings set so that the monitor turns off after two hours of no use. This usually happens when I first use the computer in the morning, having been on all night, but with the monitor being shut down by the power settings. I'll notice the screen seems brighter than normal, and check the DDM, and sure enough, it says Game mode. Any ideas what's happening?
