I have a new P2715Q and when working it's great panel. Unfortunately, I'm having constant problems with it. Sometimes, when I'm away from the computer the monitor turns off (20 minute delay in power options). When I wake the monitor, I get this error:
"The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate..."
Other times, the monitor just goes into power saving mode even as I'm actively using my computer. This happens with DisplayPort and HDMI. I often get this error when the screen comes back:
"The system has detected a problem with the connection between your computer and the DisplayPort display that will prevent you from using the highest resolutions and/or refresh rates."
It's annoying and makes the monitor unusable. Not sure how to fix this?
I'm using a GIGABYTE Radeon R9 390 G1 video card. I tried both the latest stable and latest beta drivers.
I tried loading this monitor driver from Dell: DELL_P2715Q-MONITOR_A00-00_DRVR_9XV8F.exe
I have followed these troubleshooting steps
I see others have the problem. Recommendation was to replace it with Rev A03 of the monitor, but MINE IS ALREADY A03.
Nothing fixes the problem. Is there anything I can do or do I just have to return this monitor for a refund?
Thanks.
