Hi,
I have a DELL XPS 435T with a Dell ST2210 monitor. There have been a few times where I will run a utility, like CHKDSK, when the PC is starting up. Using CHKDSK as an example, this is running in a DOS mode before Windows 7 boots up. After approximately 5 minutes, the monitor goes into Power save mode and I can't wake it up. I can hear the disk drive on my PC still thrashing, so I know CHKDSK is still running. However, I can't see the percent complete because the screen is in power save mode and I can't wake it up. I've turn off all the power save settings I can think of in Windows, but I don't think that helps because CHKDSK is running in a DOS mode before Windows even starts. Please help.
Thanks,
Leif W.
