Dell s2715h monitor
I purchased 5 identical refurb monitors from DELL OUTLET on 7/7/15.
The boxes arrived and looked fine, except one box was physically smaller.
Unfortunately, I waited until 9/4/15 to open them and set them up, and then noticed that the smaller box had no foam padding on one side of the monitor. Sure enough, although there is no visible physical damage, the LCD panel below the surface is cracked and shows a black spider and colored lines.
I double checked that the damage was internal by trying different cords and inputs, and swapping the power adapter with one of the others.
I called warranty support, and
1. They say it cannot be exchanged for shipping damage beyond 21 days.
2. They say I have ZERO warranty, even though the website said 90 days when I ordered.
3. They say if I DID have a warranty, the damage would be considered CID (consumer initiated) because I didn't discover it until after 21 days, so it would not be covered.
Is there anything I can do?
Realistically, I only paid $155 for this monitor and I've already invested 3 times that in my time on the phone with customer support.
