I just received this monitor yesterday from Amazon. So far, I love the colors, etc - but I am struggling with getting it connected to my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012). Basically, the problem I am having is I can only get an image to display if the monitor is connected to the laptop and the laptop is rebooted - then everything shows up fine. However, if the computer is already on and I do anything else like unplug/replug the mini-dp cable, turn the monitor off and back on, etc the screen never comes back - it just says "entering power save mode". The Macbook things the monitor is still connected (shows my secondary desktop) even though no image is present.
This problem seems unusual and different than what others have been describing - can anyone help me out? I have already tried factory resets, different cables (I have two of them), switching back and forth between inputs, etc and nothing seems to do the trick - only thing that works is leaving the computer on :(. For reference the port from the computer works without issue on another Asus monitor I have so it isn't a problem with the computer.
