U3415W Massive Backlight Bleed. Phone Support Literally Hung up on me

I'm posting here as a last resort,  really hoping that somebody actually reads this post and tries to help, unlike the phone support people who hung up on me (which is so bad that it's laughable).

- Problem Statement: My U3415W has absolutely massive backlight bleed.  Makes it unusable for the professional work it is advertised for.

- Serial Number: CN-068MCF-74261-4CA-0ANL

- Service Tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

Backlight bleed is obviously a hardware issue with the monitor itself that can't be fixed by a factory reset or using a different input.  But I went through all of the troubleshooting steps in the sticky anyway.

- I've done the factory (hard) reset.  I've plugged it in to 3 different computers (1 Windows 7 system, 1 Windows 8.1 system and 1 Mac OS X 10.10 system).  I used DP, HDMI and mini DP.  None of them helped the backlight bleed....not that I expected it to.  All resolutions were 3440 x 1440
