I've followed the instructions here: http://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_display_projector/esuprt_Display/dell-up3214q_User%27s%20Guide2_en-us.pdf
Specifically
1) Factory Reset
2) DP 1.2 Enable
2) Color Settings -> Preset Mode -> Color Space -> CAL1
3) Shutdown PC
4) Unplug powercable
5) Restart machine and launch Dell UltraSharp Color Calibration

This is a brand new monitor and when it gets to patch set measurement. I get the following briefly - http://tinypic.com/r/34qpsvn/8, note: the s/w is not responsive. And then after the white screen step 1 of 6 I think I get the following. VERY frustrating :(.

I am using an x-rite i1 Display calibration hardware.
