Dear all,
Excuse my tech unsavy-ness, but I want to vastly improve my viewing capability of my little laptop screen by attaching a monitor to my laptop for when I work at home. I am thinking of purchasing the swivable Dell P2414H Monitor, which connects with either: VGA, DP, or DVI-D. My Vaio Pro 13" only has HDMI output, but I know I can get adapters. What I want to know is:
1) Do I only need to connect my Vaio Pro 13" to the monitor using my HDMI output, an adaptor, and one choice of DP, or DVI-D, in order to connect? I mean, I don't need to connect ALL THREE: VGA, DP, or DVI-D, right?
2) How can I make sure that my $200 investment in a monitor will work? I don't know if there are any special drivers I would need to install or whatnot.
3) Does the monitor sync with a laptop, rather than a true computer? Even if the laptop is an ultrabook (i.e. my Sony Vaio Pro 13)?
Thanks for the help!
Kind regards,
Spencer
