Dell E2210Hc Power Problems

I have a Dell E2210Hc monitor with several peculiar problems, most of which seem to be resolved by unplugging the monitor's power cable for a minimum of 12 hours. The problems occur after the monitor has been plugged in for several hours.

The monitor displays the following symptoms:
1. The screen turns off and is pitch black, but the power button is still lit up blue like it is turned on and awake. Moving the mouse to wake the computer has no effect. Pressing buttons on the monitor has no effect. The screen stays turned off.

2. The screen turns off and is pitch black, the power button is lit up yellow like it is asleep, but it will not wake up. Moving the mouse to wake the computer has no effect. Pressing buttons on the monitor has no effect. The screen stays turned off. The power button stays yellow.

Pressing the buttons on the monitor has no effect. Pressing the power button has no effect.

Pressing the power to turn off the monitor DOES NOT prevent these problems from occurring. If the monitor is left plugged in for several hours these problems WILL occur. The only resolution I have found is to unplug the monitor for approximately 12 hours. After 12 hours of being unplugged the monitor can be plugged in, and will work for several hours.

I am hoping that someone will be able to tell me what is wrong with my Dell E2210Hc monitor, and how to resolve it.
