have a pair of 2340L screens, and one of them periodically goes blank for a few seconds during usage. it was only the other day i looked into it more than swapping video card ports and cables and discovered the component in the screen which houses the connectors is loose.
looks like this is the cause of the screen going black.
raised a case with dell order support and they are refusing to honour the warranty, first saying its normal for a monitor of this age (manufactur date august 2012) then later stating it is customer induced damage.
please help! my intention is to give the screen to a friend but i cant very well give them a dodgy one.
