I got a u3415w last month and has been having this weird issue. Every half an hour to two hours, there is a horizontal line flicker on the screen. It is white or static (can't really tell since it comes and gone in the blink of an eye.) This did not happen with my old monitor (a Dell 24" from few years ago.)
So far, I've tried:
- Different cables. Used 2 dp to mdp cable, one dp cable, and 2 hdmi cable. This includes the cables from the box.
- Plug the monitor in different plug of the surge protector, plug it into my ups, and directly into the wall socket.
- Reseated my video card and ram.
- Tried the last three version of nvidia drivers. The video card is a MSI GTX970 Gaming.
- Checked the monitor's built-in diagnostic. There is no problem.
I cannot try a different video card since I do not have another card with display port or hdmi. I wish I have a video of this. It happens sporadically and not continuous, making it very hard for me to get a video.
Any ideas on what else can be done?
