Hello, I am hoping to get assistance with this repeating issue.
My monitor's a S2340L, recently horizontal black lines with a bleeding green tint have appeared on the left side of the monitor screen again.
The monitor's 20 digit serial number is; CN-0MDCK2-64180-33B-0YBT
My computer is custom built, here's the list of some of the hardware inside;
Intel Core i5-3470
8.0GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7950
The card's drivers are currently up-to-date, the catalyst version is 14.12. AMD Catalyst Omega Software. Currently the card has a HDMI and DVI output, I am using a HDMI cable to connect the CPU to the monitor.
The issue has strangely popped in and out throughout the months since I bought it and disappearing for long periods of time before showing up again. From afar the screen looks alright till further inspection, especially when near (sitting in front of the monitor) does it become obvious (made more obvious against a white background)
The bleeding of the lines and green tint is affecting the left half of the screen with a fading effect as it goes closer to the middle till, as you look to the right half, everything looks perfect.
I have bought a new HDMI cable and the issue is still there. I plugged in a second monitor (my Cintiq drawing tablet) and the issue seems to only affect the Dell monitor. When screen-sharing on Skype, my friend commented that the screen looked fine. I can only conclude that my monitor is somehow the culprit.
I tried to get to ask about my warranty since I bought this monitor along with the other hardware back in 16 June 2013 from a reseller.
Do note that I also restored the monitor back to factory defaults, the issue still persists. I tried taking a photo of the issue, but it's incredibly hard to see.
Could I get a replacement through warranty is my main question, since I doubt I can do anything else right now.
