Monitors from Amazon, no service tag, no help from Dell or Amazon

I purchased two S2340M monitors from Amazon.com thinking that I could enter the service tag and add them to my Dell Account to activate warranty, etc. However, there are no service tags, and all I have are the serial numbers from the back of the monitors. Dell support said that because I don't have the "original Dell order number" or a service tag there's no way to "transfer ownership" to my Dell account or determine what warranty applies. Amazon support says they don't keep records of their bulk orders from vendors, so there's no way to get that piece of information.

Some searching here shows that the Dell Tag Team might be able to assign tags to my devices given enough info about my purchase. I hope this can happen!
