Can U2412M Dual Monitor Setup bridge to use only 1 display port

Hello,

I recently purchased the dual monitor setup of the U2412M monitor.  I am connecting this to an Apple computer and therefore intended to use MiniDisplay port.  Is there a way to connect the monitors to each other and then only have one cable going back to my computer and also use only one port on the computer or must I use two separate cables going back to the computer.
