I just connected a new U2415 via DisplayPort<->DisplayPort. I am running Windows7x64 and using a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. When I power the monitor on, and then boot the computer everything is displayed in 800x600 resolution. Once inside Windows if I try and adjust the screen resolution the drop down is greyed out and reads 800x600.
In the device manager the driver for the monitor is "Generic PnP Monitor". I try and install the drivers that came with the monitor and/or the latest drivers downloaded off the Dell website by selecting update driver in the device manager and browsing to the appropriate folder and the I get the message:
"The best driver for your device is already installed. Windows has determined that the driver software for your device is up to date. Generic PnP Monitor"
If I run the Dell monitor driver installer it searches for monitors and reports:
