Same monitor, very same issues. I have the U3011 and a U3014. I'm on the second (A2 firmware) try for the U3011. Last week, the monitor did the same as the first one with the no escape from sleep/no turn on/whatever mode. It works occasionally now but it is random and useless now as a monitor. When it does turn on, it's on and works flawlessly. I paid $1100 for this monitor in 2011. The monitor is out of warranty. This is unacceptable for a premium monitor. I'm going to call around to see if any repair centers have dealt with and fixed this problem for this monitor.
