I just replaced my old Dell 22" monitor with a Dell U2913WM monitor (same computer). The Dell U2913WM has an issue where it won't wake up from power save mode. The monitor is connected to the graphics card with the Dell-supplied dual link DVI cable. When the monitor is in power save mode, the LED on the power button blinks slowly. I jiggle the mouse or press a key on the keyboard to wake it up and the power LED stops blinking and turns solid, but the screen remains blank. Sometimes after I do this the monitor makes a short series of clicking sounds. I've tried turning the monitor off and on, unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and reset the monitor to factory defaults. The only way to wake the monitor up is to disconnect and then reconnect the DVI cable.
