U2715H USB 3.0 Upstream Port compatible with USB2.0 sources?

Hi,

am interested in the Dell UltraSharp 27 Monitor – U2715H. This monitor specifically, and other newer Dell models in general has USB 3.0 upstream/downstream. As such, is it still usable(compatible) with notebooks/pcs with USB 2.0 port - have an old Macbook Pro 2010 with USB 2.0 ports here.
