Dell UltraSharp Calibration fails connection to u2413

I have a Dell U2413 monitor (S/N CN-0XTXXK-72872-37N-A3JL, REV A-00, Manufactured Jul 2013)  which I purchased from Dell last October. I just purchased the x-rite Display Pro device (also from Dell) and am trying to calibrate my monitor. When I connect it recognizes it on the first page see (see clip 1 in attached file) so I select it and then click next I get an error saying 'please connect the display to your computer via USB cable' (see clip 2 in attached file). When I ensure that my USB upstream cable is connected and and click retry I get the error shown in clip 3 (see attached file).

I saw another post that spoke about the connection log (%home%\AppData\Roaming\Dell\Dell UltraSharp Calibration Solution\Connection.log) so I checked that and get the following:

Successfully opened the display
Successfully sent the VCP command.
Could not match display serial number 'XTXXK37NA3JL'.

I am running version 1.57 of the Calibration Solution on Windows7 SP1 x64 Home Premium and  have ensured the u2413 driver is up to date.

Any assistance appreciated. I have intentionally left out the information on the monitor request template having to do with the video card etc. as it appears the issue is with the serial number on the firmware in the monitor. If that turns out not to be the case I will happily complete the rest of the information.
