(1) Read through your monitor Manual check
(2) Restore the monitor to Factory Defaults using the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) check (unable to do this, no OSD appears)
* Press the monitor Menu button to open the monitor OSD
* Go to Other Settings- Factory Reset and Reset All Settings
(3) Run the monitor Self-Test and BID (Built-in Diagnostic) check (unable to do this, no OSD appears)
(4) Post your issue and all of the following data
Just today I was moving my laptop and u2709w monitor to set up in my new study.
However, when I re-attached the HDMI cable and then attached the power cable to the wall socket, while the blue power symbol LED lights up, no OSD will show irrespective of what I press. Even the blue LED will not go off if pressed, like it would usually. The monitor doesn't respond in any other way, no sounds, the screen doesn't turn on at all, basically no other sign that the monitor is receiving power besides the blue LED.
I am using windows 8 on a relatively new non-Dell laptop. I have tried both my VGA and HDMI cables, but same blank result with either.
The monitor has been nothing but great until this point - I was sure that I must have done something wrong, but I've tripled checked everything and can't see what's why it isn't working.
Any help or advice of any sorts would be greatly appreciated!!
